WebI've got a 10-gallon Tall Boy brew kettle. Brewing directions say to use 2.5 gallons of water for the boil. I've heard that more water in the boil will lend itself to greater hop utilization and a lighter color wort. Web3 May 2016 · The handles, lid and kettle have the same parts. It looks like they went from 1.2 to 1mm with the thickness. That's what we use to and it's a good compromise between cost, weight and durability. I think they are trying to get a branded product since the MegaPots are just an Update International kettle which you can get else where for cheaper.

WebI ordered a 8 Gallon Tall boy kettle recently and it had a pin hole leak on the lower left side (looking straight on). I made Ontario Beer Kegs aware, (company I order from). They quickly sent me another of the same Kettle. The new kettle had a leak in the exact same location.
